Today was my 3rd trip with it, the #40, this has to be about the best line for me I have ever used, super sensitive, casts great and yes per the label longer casts than I ever did before, no backlashes happened, very slick and caught some very good hybrids and stripers today on it, the green just disappears in water. I have tried about every braid and for me nothing compares to Gliss.

The negative is and will be for some it is super slick, any inferior knot will slip, I really like it, you will need backing with the 150 yd spool as it is so small for it size and does not fill the spool much.

Anyone else tried it? Thoughts?

Will update on the Gliss in about a month more of use I should have 15+ trips on it by then so far great, I would not care for the smaller test as it is too small dia.

If they had 50 instead of 40 I would have got it.

I have some spooled on a Shimano Sahara 2500. So far I have used it strickly for crappie fishing, and it works great.
I think it's 17 pound test, and seems very strong. I tried casting a small crappie jig (1/16 oz) and it goes a mile.
So far so good. It's very sensitive, haven't really caught anything big, but it's ok for what I'm using it for.

I just bass fish and use the 24# for light to ultra-lite and 40# for heavier duty--both are the PINK color. I would not purchase any size smaller, the smaller diameter superlines have very low shock strength.

Probably 27-30 trips on it so far it is getting light fraying on the fish end still cant break it working fine, I imagine I will reverse it in a month or so, hoping to get 6 months or more from it.
I do wish they made in in 50-65#

Another 5-6 trips at least on it, still working great, a spray of Reel Magic sure does help it even more, my original green is now silver gray color, never broke it yet and saved many lures, usually retie at least 1 time every trip. Palomar knot followed by overhand granny never slips. I still would buy it again over all the rest. It should do well on dead stick trips this winter. I will use a mono leader then.

Since Sept over 50 trips using Gliss still for me the best I have used for my fishing, not 1 break. I have not reversed it yet, just wish they made it in 50-65 and cheaper. Another trip tomorrow with it.
Some light fraying happening in the last 10' or so and color went to light gray, 1-2 reties per day done.
No regrets at all using it and plan to keep doing so. Not many store have it.

Glad I came across this thread. I bought some 8# green Gliss from Academy since it was on sale. Looks to be about 3# mono diameter and I like that size for the sunfish and panfish fishing I get. Tried Nanofil this year (green 4#) and really like it, but the price is really high compared to the Gliss, especially on sale. Gonna try the Gliss #18 300 yd spool this upcoming Spring on a bass spinning rig. Thanks for the reports!

Funny I found this thread tonight. I bought 2 150 yd. spools just yesterday at Academy with expectations to spool both my spinning reels I normally use for shakey heads and drop shot techniques. I got a spool of 18# and 24#. I stripped my line down on both reels leaving about half of the mono as I expected to use it as backing. This stuff is so thin I used the entire spool of 24# on my 35 size Quantum and nearly all the 18# on my 25 size Shimano Sahara. I bought it in the white as I had watched the videos that states it turns near transparent in the water. I normally get green in mono and braid but wanted to try this stuff if it truly turned to a clear. I'll check that out tomorrow in the cement pond out back--Planning on a trip this weekend to a local lake that is FULL of small bass that eat up drop shot baits, so we'll see what happens.

Be sure to use the San Diego cinch knot or a double polymer because it is really slick but I love it.

Got my 1st roll over a year ago and just retired it, over 100 trips on it easy , the only reason retired was a nightmare backlash all my fault already replaced it with another spool, for me this is the best line I have ever used, I was told by Academy they were dropping it but they still have it, I sure hope they do not. The best casting line by far I have ever casted, I just wish it was cheaper. I tried white this time 40# but wish they had 50-65.

Academy did DC Gliss but some still have some reduced others not, looking for a new supplier, still for me the best I have tried, anyone compared it to PP Super Slick?
I praised Sufix 832 a lot but Gliss is better for me.

Got to compare the Slick PP yesterday to Gliss same rod and reel and lures, the PP is good I admit better than the original version but no way casted like the Gliss, I just wish it was cheaper and easier to find in stores.
You can increase the tension and brake to prevent problems more with it and it still casts better for me that is. I got over 100 trips with lots of larger fish on the 1st spool before I replaced it due to my fault of a backlash.

Ebay is the easiest the cost is the same on same size spools but they are much cheaper on yellow which I do not use.

Another 4 trips on the white line, the color is holding up better than the green did which changed to gray but lasted a very long time. I have some of the pink and translucent coming soon and will report on that as soon as I use it, all 40# test.

Monday's trip was over 200 fish from deeper water, the new spool of white is staying the same color and really casting great, I did have to retie the lure knot several times from sharp gill plates noticing fraying, beforehand I always try to break it and no breaks so far, it does even better casting with a spray of reel magic on it, I compared it 40# to 12# mono casted on an identical setup and the Gliss casted farther and really noticed a difference of feeling fish hit while jigging tail spinners verticle letting them flutter down. I will keep reporting on Gliss until this spool is history.
