Booyah One Knocker in Blue Chrome is my go to. Prefer the 1/2 ounce but always good to have a 1/4 ounce for when the shad are small. I lose too many to pay $14 or more for one. I do upgrade the hooks when money is on the line. Paint stays on these much better than the Chrome Red Eye Shad.

IMO....if a lipless isn't running true....you're reeling it too fast......

Agreed. The nastier the better. I think this goes for all of them.

Diawa Game-Vibe is a good one. Both sizes work. Seems like a good selection of styles and sizes is your best bet. Sometimes they'll kill a Game-Vibe other times a Rat l' Trap then a Lucky Craft. Every rattle bait I have, factory or custom, gets a coat of 2 part epoxy before it ever hits the water. They last a lot longer that way. If you do it right you'll have no problems with paint chipping or eyes falling off. I usually strip the factory paint off and put my own patterns on rattlebaits.

Xcalibur XR50 was my go to bait.. I liked Gold Black Back.. but since they were discontinued.. but picked up by Booyah.. they don't offer that color. Its a great bait.. had the best day of my life on Guntersville using an XR75 in Royal Shad..

Another vorte for the Xcalibur brand, not made by teh same company now. They were pretty much indestructible. Bought like 90 off of Cabelas swhen they had an online sale at $2.00 each. Some XR100s, some XR25, XR50 and XR75s Still good baits, if you can find them. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I like the old diamond shad lures. chrome with a blue back. I do not think they make them anymore but I still see them at some stores.

Adding to the process of removing finish to look different , no matter what I throw I always work on the finish with a flat wood rasp , mark it up to make it look damaged , crippled , not offend anyone but has that handicap appearance going thur the water .

One brand that won't fail you is Lucky Craft. This is my favorite lipless crankbait and it is yet to let me down.

Another good one I've found is this one. It's more thin and small, therefore better for high pressured situations.
