I'm heading to the coast for a few days next weekend, so I thought I'd make up some lures for the trip. I painted up a few of these ....hopefully the specks and reds like 'em !!!

They're made with a vision 110 blank ...eye holes filled, painted backward like a fleeing shrimp ....the dressed treble simulates the tail .

I've also started doing this with crawfish baits ...

That's really clever! Do you have any pictures of the crawfish baits you mentioned?

Looks great. You can purchase the safety pins with the round heads if you would like the little round beady eyes on those. Just cut the pin off leaving a short post, drill a tiny hole with a pin for each eye and epoxy in place.

On these I just painted some stick on 3D eyes black ...but I dig your idea

Another one, still on the drying wheel....

I did this one with the pins for eyes, as suggested, and like it better.

great shrimp bait. the best yet. how did you get the antennae on the nose of the bait. i assume theyre mono or fluoro.

Black or green braid makes a really nice crawfish antenna for LC knockoffs.
