Just purchased my first new kayak! Ascent FS12T SOT. So excited about getting it rigged up for fishing. Read a lot on here about kayaks and my decision was made much easier because of your input. Just wanted to say thanks!

I'm considering upgrading to the FS12T from my Eagle Talon 12. I have nothing negative to say about the Talon 12 other than standing. For those who have one are there any negatives? Are y'all using them in all kinds of water (river, lake, bay)?

I have fished rivers, ponds, and lakes with mine. the weight max is 350 and I am 230 and can stand with little to no issues and fish. its very stable and tracks good. I had a pelican castaway and these two are night and day. the pelican was a lot faster and the wind didn't bother me as much, but I am much more comfortable, have a lot more room, and very stable in the FS12T. I am about to add lights mine so I can see better at night. again I love mine!

Mkirby, I'd love to see some pics if you've rigged yours up, if you don't mind. Pm me if that's cool

Props man and enjoy! Half the fun is rigging it up how you like it.

It can get expensive too if you let it hahahah
