Everything works except for speedometer, I just use the gps speed on 998. The trolling motor pedal has a cool foot pad on it. I have an appointment to get the compression and hours checked.

Just got the boat checked out. The compression is good and motor has 369.6 hours. Most of the hours are at idle speed graphing. Only 5.4 hrs over 4500 rpm and .7 hours over 5000 rpm. The motor guide is a 109 lb thrust. I have always used full synthetic oil and very well taken care of.

Most hours at idle is not a good thing unless they are just very low hours as well, 75% of the runtime needs to be @ 3500-4800 rpm especially on mercs, they are performance engines and meant to run. Most of the merc blown power heads with low hours seen in the shops now have lots low RPM hours graphing.

I will give you a better breakdown of the hours tomorrow. I should have said a lot of the hours were at idle and lower rpm. Another word I don't run wide open everywhere I go.

total hours 369. 22% at 0-599rpm, 40% at 600-1499 rpm, 9% 1500-2999, 8% 3000 - 3499, 9% 3500-3999, 8% 4000-4499, .25% 4500-4999 Compression is good
Bossbowman there is no way a guy that bass fishes can run his boat this day and time 75% of the time at 3800-4500 rpm. These numbers are probably very common for your typical bass fisherman that takes care of their boat. I have been running boats for 30 years now and have never blown a powerhead. Thank you for your concern though.
