Finally getting a chance to break free for a day for the first time since spring this Thursday and I plan to hit Rayburn or Toledo. Just looking for some help making the decision. I'm not looking to catch a bunch of big fish, mainly looking for an exciting day. So if anyone's fished either recently I'd appreciate some input on which way to go. God bless.

We caught almost 40 fish today on a trip. Largest was 5pounds. We ran south to catch numbers.

To me a lot depends on the weather, if it's windy and you only have one day to fish I would go to TB. Lots of big coves that you can launch in and get away from the wind. Calmer weather, I like Rayburn. Easier to get around on especially on the south end. Shouldn't be crowded on either one on a Thursday. Good luck.

Awesome, I'm mostly out to catch numbers. That's south on rayburn or Toledo? And if you don't mind sharing, moving baits or a slower presentation?

Went to toledo last weekend and fished for two day's and struggled to catch any quality fish or really even any numbers. Went to Rayburn this Saturday and did really well. The weights for the tournaments have been a lot higher on Rayburn than toledo over the past two weeks. Caught a lot frogging around the hay grass on the south end of the lake. Then ran up north and caught them under cypress tree's just south of the 103 on Rayburn.

If you want numbers go Rayburn north of 147. There have been schoolers in Pophers. Like I said schoolers. Nothing of any size. Otherwise find haygrass and enjoy your day throwing a frog and swimjig. shouldnt be hard to catch them. Rayburn is fishing way better tHan Toledo.

What is pophers? Is that a location, looking for schoolers myself, taking out a little one, size don't matter. Which ramp would be closer?

Well, you guys have convinced me to head to Big Sam. I'll be putting in at caney creek and trying to get a few to eat the frog. Thanks for the replies and the information gentlemen.

How do you guys think this front will affect the frog bite? Think it'll be enough to shut it down? I'd sure like to catch a few top water fish
