I've been fishing at a local pond lately and now that fall has starte,i can't seem to get them to bite.i usually do good, but since fall begun i have yet to catch one bass. I have tried football jigs with some pit boss trailers and senkos (wacky and texas rigged),flukes, frogs chatter and poppers and i just can't seem to get them to bite. Any one have that problem and any advice?

I fished two weeks ago with decent luck. Is two weeks ago still considered "Fall"?

Regardless, I got some decent advice...
Worm the pockets! I was pond fishing by the way.
I "wormed the pockets," and I added "with the wind." I went from a few bites to landing about 6 or so within an hour of time. They weren't big bass, but small ones are better than "no" ones.

...good luck

That water is still too warm.
Bass are lazy and almost sick.
Let the water cool down about 10 degrees or so and action will return

Yeah that makes sense,it's just so damn frustrating cause i'll usually start at 6:30am and the fish are all over the place jumping and what not and i'm not talking about dinks,i'm talking about what looks like five-eight pounders. I have hopes of finally getting some cool weather this year here in Texas, unlike last year,so i can get into catching me some bass lol

I've never seen a bass jump high enough to judge it's weight. They are probably gills popping the surface or carp/gar. When the bite gets tough, I scale down all my tackle, including line. Good luck man.

The dude abides...

Well the only reason i say that without feeling stupid, cause it does sound kind crazy,is cause i usually see them about 3 to 5 feet where i am and it's somewhat hard to confuse a bass with a gar or a carp. Anyways, what do i know. But thanks for the advice,i think i will try that next time i go fishing. I had thought about it,yet i was just going by what the "experts" suggest is best for fall bass fishing lol

Depending on where you are, the weather could be having an effect also. We've been changing back and forth, wind shifting all around every day, etc. All my water around here is also really low at the moment which can sometimes make pond fish a bit more wary. Combine that with the shifting wind and pressure changes and it could cause some problems. Should steady out here in the next week or so.

When we fished the Boheiman Bass tourney 2 weeks ago mine and all the winners bass came from a Texas Rigged Green and white senko. No other colors would work. It is the one with the white bottom.

May your wiener schnitzel always stay above your lederhosein.

You're right and i have noticed that the past couple of weeks and the weather being crazy. I went fishing this morning at 6 and it seemed like it was going to be another day with no bites but at around 7:45 or so i git my first bite and from there on it got good.

That's a nice bass!!! How much did it weigh? Looks like 3 to 4 lbs but i'm more than likely wrong.

You are right cause today i was throwing a 1/2 oz jig with a watermelon and orange glitter skirt with a z craw trailer,a couple of pit boss colors (texas rigged),a white pearl fluke and a coulle of different colored yum dingers and nothing but it wasn't until i tied on a watermelon red flake senko with a 1/16 oz weight that i started to get bites,so it's something about those senkos that does it lol
