My dad and I went out yesterday on Saturday and had a decent day. No large fish just some solid unders. Expiermented with a few new techniques to us. We felt we did ok but we're wishing we got into a better class of fish. Anybody else have any better luck?

Same story with us bro. We caught one slot fish and the rest were dinks and chunky unders. We don't fish that lake much but caught em good Friday and Saturday was slower.

Fork isn't putting out consistent size right now. My neighbor has a 9 a 10 and some 7s and 8s in the past few weeks..but he's zeroing a lot too.

We had about 20 on Saturday. All unders except two slots at about 4lbs each. Yellow magic on wind blown bank first thing in the morning caught 4-5. Carolina rigged flukes and Texas rigged blue fleck worms in main lake points caught the rest. Fish weren't under the docks at least for us. They were in the timber between the docks. Nothing deeper than 8ft and other than the top water fish early, nothing was shallower than 5ft. Fish were at the front 1/3 of coves....didn't catch anything farther back than that. Find a main lake point with a shallow road bed and you are guaranteed at least one fish. Tried every bait you can imagine and the worm and yellow magic were the only two that worked. West fork of lake. Even fished a couple of deep pond dams and no luck.

Not Saturday but Sunday and actually found the bite to be pretty tough with light wind, mostly clear skies, and hot temps but did manage one around 5lbs and one around 9 and some dinks thrown in, 8-15' around main lake structure. Had to bump wood to get bit. Hit the pond weed and grass early and they just didn't cooperate with me and missed quite a few but believe they were mostly small. Bite was real light. Did find massive amounts (schools on top between 4-5 bridge gaps and staying up for a long time) of schooling black bass under the bridges and the shad they were chasing were about the size of a little George. Got a few good unders underneath the dinks counting down a fluke to 1000-20 around pillons, which btw is hard to do when the water is boiling around the boat. The ones on top were maybe 12-13"........btw they would not hit a big whooper plopper pulled threw the surface activity. They were keyed on small shad so bait was too big. Others catching a lot on little George's small jerk baits and tiny torpedos. I figured there would be a giant or two under all those dinks feeding on dying shad falling down but no luck......
