I think that is false!


Water level fluctuation is mostly to blame for the disappearance of the 'drilla. While I havent found much hydrilla out there lately, just a couple of patches... but there is pond weed, milfoil, and some coon tail to be found in several different areas.


Of all the metromess lakes I fish Lake Worth has the most grass by far, its just to bad the fish dont like to live in the mats there for some reason.

It's odd. I swear the lakes used to fluctuate yearly yet the hydrilla was there each year regardless. True also that Wheeler Branch is loaded with hydrilla. It was real low a little over a year ago and when the lake filled the grass was still there. And yes the Somervell County Water District closed it to bass boats due to fear of people transporting zebra mussels. :-(((

Mountain creek is full of grass especially in the channels down south and to the west

Better success for grass and safer at Fork thumb

Watch out for the grass cat if you go to Mountain Creek peep
