For you guys in the know, I see where Mercury did not renew their sponsorship of FLW for the 2017 season, and Yamaha re-upped with B.A.S.S. through 2020. What's up with that?

That's right Mercury did not have a support trailer at the Invitational on Lake Norman last week. I have heard that they will be bringing support trailers to the regular season events in 2017 if FLW will let them.
Word is that FLW will be bringing on another Engine sponsor for 2017 but the name hasn't been released yet. I guessed it would be Yamaha but with that BASS deal we may be surprised and see another player step up.

lots of manufacturers are tightning their belts on sponsorships its about bang for the buck the regular customers that are buying their products are not as prone as in earlier years to buy a product just because some pros use it with the invent of internet that shows everything in real time now. memo deals from boat manufacturers are harder to get because they don't want the dealers having to compete with their boats the pro staffs are going to have to sell at some point.
