both the wife and i are recuperating from knee surgery and friends have brought us more food than we can eat before it spoils, so i took the left overs of a roast with taters, carrots and onions and some left over chopped beef and added a few spices and some sweet peas and made a couple shepherd pies. put the mix in a pie crust and covered with mashed potatoes, the baked for 36 min at 400 degrees.

My mother, a yankee (RIP) made it with seasoned ground beef, a layer of corn then topped with mashed potatoes. Many versions i reckon but all good hearty and rib sticking
