Delta says its against FAA regulations to use smokeless tobacco on a plane. I call BS on this and can't find it on the FAA website. I am going to do it anyway and I don't think they can stop me. Take that ...man. Can't stop me.

Just get the spitless kind...

Personally it's kinda gross to sit next to someone (too close for comfort on a plane) and have that spit bottle going.

I'm discreet about it. However, I once used a barf bag when I forgot my bottle. That was wrong.

I think they just say it because they're sick of cleaning up spit bottles. Alaskan said the same thing on a return trip from Seattle. Funny thing was, they didn't say it on the way up there.

It has to be in writing to be official.

Rule 47. Delta prohibits the use of smokeless tobacco. They can refuse service or remove you from the flight. It's not against FAA regulations. It's against Delta's rules.

How's this?

RULE 47 SMOKE FREE SERVICE
Delta prohibits smoking and the use of all smokeless tobacco products on all flights operated by DL
worldwide.
EXCEPTION: This rule does not apply to codeshare flights operated by another airline.

I fly a couple times a month for work. I fly United and have never heard then mention smokeless tabacco is against the rules. I dip every flight and it's never been an issue.
