Fishing for white basss here has been good if you go to the right places. Fishing anywhere south of Crappie Island (except Swing-set Hump and Flagpole Point) is still poor, but there are good schools of whites at Key Ranch Drop-off, Key Ranch North, Spillway Hump along the south edge, the Rock Pile, Game Warden Hump and Enchanted Isle Ridge. I've been to Sunken Island twice in the last month and caught fish on the same pattern there. I'm catching 50 to 60 fish an outing in 12 to 17 fow using #2 Mepps dragged sideways along the bottom after locating fish. The fish are moving back and forth along the structures near the edges next to deeper water, so you have to move with them.

With my wife able to work from home full time and I work from home I would like to move out away from the Metroplex. Even though I live about 2 minutes from my boat at the marina I am really thinking it's time to maybe make a change. Your reports always gets me to thinking about it. I'm 63 and not getting any younger. I really like reading your reports. Fish on my brother!

Thanks. Yes, it's great living on the lake. I know I am very blessed to be able to do it.

Thanks Dennis. I love reading your reports. I am blessed to be able to move down to the lake and have been reading and watching a lot on this forum. I have a lake house on Cedar Creek and I am excited about the opportunities here. I look forward to your post and maybe we can do some fishing some time.

John.
