The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our eighth tournament of the year on Saturday September 10th. Bad weather, lots of competing tournaments and a lake that isn't many peoples favorite contributed to our lowest turnout of the year of 17 boats. Heavy rain to start the day gave way to strong north winds and blue bird skies in the afternoon. Fishing was not easy for anyone, but as always a few people caught em. When we weighed them in at the end of the day, David Simmons and Jared Fish weighed a 5 fish limit for 14.97 pounds to take the win. Derek Sullivan and Daniel Rozelle had big bass with a 5.08 tank. Here are full results and pictures.

Joe Ruiz and Paul Villarreal worked all day for one keeper for 2.21

Same story for Paul Spann and myself who had a Mr. Toads Wild Ride type of day but finally caught one that weighed 3.07 in the last five minutes of our day

Robert Hitt and Bobby Graves weighed three for 4.69

Russell Olds and Matt Jackson weighed three for 5.16. Here's Russell with their fish.

Travis Reaves and Jason Hunnicutt had two on the day for 5.77 almost a 3 pound average

Tim Light and John Bruner did them one better. Here's Big John with their two for 6.04

Derek Sullivan and Daniel Rozelle weighed three for 8.96 that included big bass of the tournament of 5.08. Congrats guys!

James Sharp and Brian Brooks had four for 9.35 that included a 4.49. That's Kasey Bunch playing stand in for Brian.

Tony Dougherty and Kenny LaDuck had a 5 fish limit for 9.71

Jerry Brown and Tony Schnurr had four for 10.25. Here's Tony with their two best.

As usual JB is left holding the bag...

Getting the fourth place check with a five fish limit for 11.54 were David Mulkey and Robert Oleson

It was another good outing for Vince Burt and Mark Werner who finished third with five for 12.49 that included a 4.69

It was another great tournament for Ronnie Manning and Capp Peace who finished second with five for 13.66

Here's one of your winners. Treasurer David Simmons was off counting the money up when Jared Fish weighed the winning limit in of 14.97. That included a 4.32 largemouth and that big ole spot in his right hand. Way to go guys!

Thanks to David for keeping the finances straight. A huge thank you to Kenny and Kasey Bunch who did double duty of of registration and also weigh in duties. Awesome job guys. Our next tournament is our last regular season outing of the year on October 8th at Lake Texoma. We are launching from Highport Marina and fishing 7-3. Last chance to earn points for AOY and it's close! After that don't forget the Fish For A Cure Benefit Tournament coming up on October 15th on Ray Hubbard. See the info in the Tournaments section! See you in October!
