I saw on here a while back about someone / someplace where you could purchase Lake Fork GPS Waypoints for unmarked boat lanes and other items of interest. I have a Navionics chip, but is there something out there to supplement it with more information.

(Tongue and Cheek) but I wonder about the boats lanes on Fork anymore. I watched plenty of boats driving thru the forest last weekend and I never saw a boat hit anything... I've watch boats do it a bunch this year and I've never heard a crunch... I know if I did the same it would be a deal killer... I think the trees have really broke off deeper now but I'm still not willing to do what I've seen.

I can't even ideal without hitting something.

I fish Fork 5 or 6 times a month. Lance Vick boat lanes are the way to go. Lance has been running fork for nearly 30 years.

For the most part Lance Vicks lanes are good, but DO NOT follow his lane into little caney, or little mustang when the water is low. You will be purchasing a new lower unit.

I would highly suggest to use something like Lance Vick boats lanes. You can get away with not running in the boat lanes when the lake is high but when it gets down about 2-3' you will hit those same stumps you are running on pad over the top. I think people get confused over idling and hitting the stumps and running over the top. I think people forget the motor is much lower in the water when idling then when on pad. I am guessing but when idling the bottom of the motor is about two feet below the water line, but when on pad you are about 6" below the water line. The 1.5 foot difference and the lake being down 2-3 feet could put the bottom of the motor almost 4' below full pool and this will get you into the tops of the stumps. Folks please just take a little extra time and run the boat lanes it isn't worth getting killed over. You will get away with right up till you hit the stump and get thrown out of the boat and maybe killed.

The other thing most do not know is most of the lakes boat lanes were never cleared of trees. The boat lanes are put into areas of the lake that when the lake is at full pool you will run over the top. When the lake gets lower the trees you have been running over the top will now come into play even in the boat lanes. I think it has to get close to 7-8 feet low for this to really come into play. You need to be very careful on Fork when it gets lower and even when it is at full pool. You DO NOT want to run in areas that are not boat lanes without a really good understanding of this lake. Good Luck

I've got a bunch of waypoints on Fork. They're all labeled "Don't Fish Here!"

3 ft low 4..5..6..9 low boat lanes works as mainly a nighttime fisherman I am greatful for this product. However like Harold said Little Mustang @ Little Caney (last 2/3 of trail) BEWARE.
