So I was given a Talon, but I need the proper brackets for my rig. Who is the best business/ person to go with when it comes to helping me figure this out? Thanks for the help.

I would start with Minn Kota since they make it.

I would start with Minn Kota since they make it. True, but I also know there are possibly some local guys on this forum who I would be willing to give my business to.

Do you have a jack plate? If so you will need the jack plate mounting bracket. If you do not have a jack plate you will need the sandwich style mounting bracket. Or you can mount direct to the transom with the standard mounting bracket that comes with your Minn Kota Talon.

Depends on if he has a jackplate that will accept the jackplate mounts. May have to use the sandwich mount even with a jackplate.

I have two sandwich mounts which was on my former champ. When I got my newer rig it had a hyd jackplate so I got different mounting brackets.

Lake Fork Electronics mounts Talon's. We would need to see the Jack Plate to be sure and order the proper brackets.
