Where did favorite usa come from? Never heard of them and they sponsored the last BASS event.

Apparently they are sponsoring a bunch of tournament anglers in Mexico as well.

I can attest that the Sierra series is a solid rod. Not much different from the savoy besides guides and general colors of the rod.

According to company info they are from Missouri and say they have combined Japanese design, Japanese Toray, Fuji components and American strength to create the lightest, most sensitive, strongest carbon rods to be found. They have a 7.2mh casting rod that weighs 3.3oz!

Interesting. What do other brands in that power and length weigh? I haven't seen where any company lists that info.

The American tackle stuff looks pretty cheesy. Looks like a knock off of 13 fishing, which isn't that great in its own right. And the "lifetime warranty" has enough loopholes in it to make it more like a "backside" warranty

But.....maybe their shirts won't shrink in the wash.

not sure...but if the summit line is using the components they say they are then these rods are the real deal. Very similar to MegaBass, MajorCraft and Daiwa japanese high end rods.

The grip on the summit rods looks very strange.

TBH the photo of the summit rod looks like they wrapped some kind of tape around the blank and call it the grip.
