I had some issues with my 1199 recently. WayneP talked me through some of it (thank you) and told me to contact Hummingbird.
I was looking up the contact info on their site and a "live chat" window popped up. I figured what the heck, so I clicked. The lady on the site was very helpful and after we tried a couple of things, she told me how to send it in for them to look at it. I was very pleased that there was actually someone to talk to and I did not get put on forever hold, as I did when I called another brand that I used to run...
On Sat, I decided to run up to the McDonalds tourney on Fork and look around. Saw the Bird trailer and got to talking to the tech. He offered to look at my set-up and see if he could figure it out. Long story short, he diagnosed it as a bad transducer and warrantied it.
Not often you see any kind of customer service anymore but I have been impressed with the people I've dealt with from Hummingbird.
