Been fishing a lot in God's Country lately. Fished the Nueces Canyon the other day the bite was "GOOD"! Caught a bunch of very nice Redbreast in the 9" range and a bunch of nice Bluegill in the 7" range. Rounding out the catch were some Longear and a couple of bass in the 14" range. Had a very nice Redbreast that had gotten off right when I was getting it out of the water. Fish was over 10". Fished from 8am till 2pm. Fish were caught on both live worms and Gulp Alive Night Crawlers. Fish were in 4 to 6 feet of water holding by grass beds and brush piles. The current was good and the water crystal clear. After a day of fishing me and my pal Louis went to the Nueces Country Smokehouse and had a SUPER LUNCH! Great place to eat and I will be back for sure! Fishing deep in the hart of God's Country. It just don't get any better! fish

Thanks Chuck for the information. We found another take out spot closer to Uvalde with no charge and a few places to park.

That is one beautiful river. That part of Texas is God's country for sure. Nice report and fish Chuck.

Side Note: White Bass run is not that far off in Three Rivers! Do you have plans on hitting it next year?
