New boat owner and keeping the boat in a slip on Ray Hubbard. Amazed at how quickly the algae starts to build up so I am looking at getting a lift for my slip. Most of the slips around me either have a hydra lift or air dock style.
The hydra lift definitely looks better but the air dock seems to be cheaper considering that you can install it yourself pretty easily and its easy to move if I ever change slips. Anyone have experience with these and any suggestions?
I have a 22" center console boat.

We used the Hydra Hoist when I worked at a marina. They work OK until something causes a leak in the lifting chamber. It was my experience that they required a lot of work. Also they required a lot of balancing to fit the boat. I notice that the pictures of the new ones look more advanced.
We never used the soft inflatable air docks. They look as if they would be a lot easier to use, but leaks might still be a problem.
