Hey guys, first of all for the last 6 months I've been using diawa tatula's and I love them. But, I found a steal of a deal on a 7ft mh veritas 2.0 so I thought I'd try it out. I put a lews tournament mb 7.5.1 on it, tied on a jig and just thought I'd give it a shot. Man, this rod feels good, really good. So I did some research and the reviews are very 50/50. So I thought I'd see if any of u guys use them and get your opinions on them.

I'm i have one but its a spinning rod. I love that thing, got it with a match reel. For the money its great. Looking to getting one or two casting versions. Tackle warehouse have a lot of customers reviews about it.

I bought one for my wife about a year ago. It's a great rod for the money. When she isn't with me, I keep it rigged on the deck, but don't tell her that.

what price range are we talking about?

$100. Good rod for the money. I use a 7'6" MH rod for throwing frogs. A second one I use for jigs. Not as sensitive for a "feel" rod. I'm a line watcher, so it's applicable in lighted conditions.

I really like the rod. But if you like it that should be all that matters.

The 50/50 is probably mostly because of issues with the guides and tip. Rod is sensitive and feels good too!

I picked one up at Academy this evening, marked $99 but scanned $59.58, they said it was clearance markdown but wouldn't take the 25% off that last markdown like the sign says and a couple other stores are doing. I bought it anyway at $59.....

I have 6 of them now. One problem with one of them, lost the insert to one of the guides. Otherwise very pleased.
