Having never fished the river and not going untill the official practice days. What weight is it going to take to win and what will get you a check?

From what I have read I would say 25-28 lbs for 2 day total. Lots of keepers to be caught but average size isn't very big

16-18lbs one day is possible but backing it with another 16-18 will be tough. 28-32lbs to win imo

Must be a high class dinner! First year that me and son will be fishing, if their venue is like this year it will be an easy choice.

Maybe 24 lbs. over two days. Look at the Elite weights on there. Little fish and not many. I guess Orange paid good money.

It will be over 24lbs. Rivers have stabilized. Elites were there during flood and cold water

Maybe Texas side but not Louisiana side they have been still getting hammered and one of the rivers had a major fish kill.

I think 28lbs will give you a pretty good shot at it. Depending on what's found 26 might get it to. Around 20lbs will be the average of guys that get limits, maybe a little smaller due to the 12" limit.
