Found some success on Canyon Lake last week. One day found them at the bottom of a hump. A couple days later, couldn't miss them. They were all over the place on the surface! That made for a fun day of catching instead of fishing for them. Looking forward to cooler weather and making that top water bite more consistent.

We caught lots of whites and striper Feb-March, but struggled this summer.

We searched everywhere this summer and only found a few striper. We caught some, but it was tough compared to last summer. Maybe the extra water this year had them scattered.

That sounds about like my year.. Did really good through April, then they pretty much disappeared over the summer.. They are def getting more active since this little cool front. Hopefully they keep showing up with the cooler temps.

It's been a blast! Last few warm days has slowed the top water bite, so we need another front. I'm still picking a few up around the little bit of surface action. Yea Steven went with me last week..
