Looking at getting a new bass boat off the lot and will be a first. Considering used also. But my question is, how much do dealers come off of price on new boats? Really looking at skeeters. I know trucks you can get them $10,000-$12,000 off their price. Please feel free to PM me with your personal insight.

I guess it depends on if you are talking retail or their asking price. Their retail price their may be that much in there. I would think on their asking price their isn't that much maybe a few thousand at best. I am talking most retail store not big chain stores like BPS. I am guessing if they are asking 65,000 you may get them to 61,000 if they really want to get rid of it. I would think this early in the year you won't get that much. just my .02

A lot are offering packages that are already pretty much discounted.

I was just there on Saturday and they won't knock off anything, I asked. If they'd knock off $10k I would have bought one, right now though I just can't justify the $50k+ sticker price.

They did say something about rebates but I didn't catch wether or not they were already applied.

I like dealing with a dealer who has his selling price marked on the boat or vehicle from the get go, putting a high retail price on it just so the customer feels good after talking you down 6-10K does not make sense to me, I think most of the smaller dealers will give you there selling price from the get go.

If I was buying new, I would get a Phoenix or Triton package. They seem to be priced the best for a 20 ft rig with a 250. My guess you are still in the 60's but thats what it takes in that range.

Thanks, Billy

if you want a 20 ft plus boat with a 250 on it new it is going to be over 50 k if you think boat dealers are getting rich wonder why there is half as many as there was 10 years ago.

This dealer does have them marked as low as possible; but they are all to expensive to buy.

First world problems.

What part? The part about new boats costing over $50k. Or the part where people selling used boats want more than the cost of a new boat? Or the used boat that had 5 owners in 5 years, which throws up a red flag?

Enlighten us with the first world part.
