Made One of these years ago and still use it to clean my fillets and dove and Duck breast. Works like a charm and a whole lot cheaper that the 40 bucks they want for that one.

Built me one Friday morning. I will say, they worked on the teal we killed. Cleaned them up nicely. Then tried them on blue cats. We added some ice to the bucket and then filled it up like the video. Worked pretty good on getting the blood out of the meat. Anyway, fresh fried catfish is hard to beat! I would say, if you get a chance you might want to buy one of those game cleaners.

That's good thinking about doing one side of my outside sink that way.

Ok, I was not smart enough to figure this out alone but I watched Stubby clean a bunch of fish one day and he uses a sprayer attachment to a hose to pressure wash the fillets. They come out perfect with no blood. I have started using one on my fish cleaning table . It really works well. I got to give kudos to Stubby And his awesome bait also. I rarely have a bad day when I have Stubbys cheese in my boat.

This setup is pretty simple to build on your own and apparently does a good job if you are willing to use it as needed.
However, for catfish cleaning, I have come to use the cleaning method of cutting the tails off the live catfish, then putting them in a 5 gal bucket with a few inches of water to let them bleed out and die before taking them into my kitchen for cleaning. This method produces clean, bloodless fillets every time.
Thanks for posting Big Zee.

Spooley, sounds like the way you clean cats is the same way we clean sharks. Cut the tail and let them bleed. Yea this set up with the bucket is simple, just make a whirlpool. Everything washes out the top.
