What rods and reels do y'all use for lighter baits like wacky rigs and weightless flukes? Best rod length and action and best reel speed?

Easier for me to skip weightless flukes and senkos with spinning gear. Medium power 7ft rod with a fast action. Size 3000 reel.

MH fast 7'3" Veritas or Duckett w/ 7.1:1reel. I fish it in open water and moderate cover with the same setup. Decent reel will cast a Senko/Hook a mile! To skip a wacky, I use a 1/8 ounce jig head setup.

I wouldn't consider senkos and flukes to be light weight baits..12-15 lb. With a 7mh should do fine. As far as reel speed, at least a 6. Weightless baits tend to get slacklined often.

I have used Dobyns and Powell rods for both techniques. 3 power for wacky rigging and 4 power for Tx.rigging weightless.

I throw weightless on a Falcon Cara T7 Weightless microguide with an Abu Revo STX. 12-15lb fluoro depending on the situation.

I like a Falcon Cara Weightless Worm or Finesse Jig rod pair with a 7:1 ratio reel. The reel speed isn't as important as the rod action for casting weightless plastics.

A spinning combo is a good alternative and much easier to skip if you think you will be fishing a lot of docks.

12lb test is the max for weightless for me. The lighter the line the more realistic the twitch is.
