Hey guys, was wondering if anybody had any thoughts about Mountain Creek Lake? Going to fish there this evening. Before anybody says "why would you go there", I go to college at DBU. Boat ramp is a quarter mile from my apartment, and it's free. Anybody got any tips they wanna share? If not, my biggest question is about the boat ramp. Heard it's kind of a sketch place. Should I get somebody to drop me in the water and leave? Heard of people getting their trucks vandalized. Any input appreciated, thanks everybody.

Go up the creek that runs back toward I-20, it's loaded with bass.

The problems they have had down there was back in the early 90s. I would say the people causing problems are now a statistic from gun violence or they are in prison. I have been going there for 10 years and have not had 1 problem and i have left my truck and trailer down there till 2am a few times. Only problem i have had is people parking on the ramp and won't move. When you are looking at the ramp from the parking lot launch on the left ramp.

It's Best to idle past the bridges if you go.

Hell i run on plane and do not cut across the bridge running east to west. Run open water north of the bridge then turn left to go under the bridge parallel with the mouth of creek. Stay on plane.

Stay on plane all the way to creek and sit down when it drops to 6 ft you can catch fish on dam also. I might be out there this evening. If I get my oil changed early enough.
