Hey everyone,

First off let me start by saying thanks for letting me on the forum with you all. Happy to be a Texan now. Recently moved to Texas and looking for some insight on Lewisville as it is a 20 min drive. Where are some good places for me to target this time of year on the lake. I've been reading brush at 18'-20' has been producing but I thought maybe someone could tell me where to go to find that. Now I'm not expecting anyone's honey holes. I'll be launching from Little Elm Park using minners and assortment of jigs. Anything will help!

Welcome to the forum Cap. Check the archives for anything by Ernest Patty I believe he fishes Lewisville regularly. He has shared the coordinates to a lot of his spots and he can probably direct you to the COE brushpiles .

As far as I know there aren't any COE brushpiles on Lewisville. If you have sidescan, scan around points and places protected from a south wind in 15-25 ft you should find some brush and/or submerged trees. The bridges also always hold fish, I would start about 10 ft down and work down till you start catching fish.

Fish the bridge right by the ramp. Should be showing up there.

Great opportunity with Ernest! If you got one - bring a 10-12 ft long rod, just in case!

Also, welcome to the TFF - and the Crappie Section! This is a great place to learn fishing!
