I have been using Owner Offset Shank hooks for Texas rigged worms and lizards for over a decade. Do you prefer the Twistlock screw-on style hooks where the worm is essentially screwed into the hook?

I only use screw locks on swimbait. Everything else is offset or straight shank

Swim baits and frogs on twist locks. Also, twist lock keel weighted hook on creatures that flap, ring fry's, and flukes over deep grass.
Everything else straight shank or offset.

There are advantages to using that style of hook. I use shaky heads, twistlock, weighted hooks for my trigs.

For finesse Fishing, keeping the weight and hook attached increases sensitivity. If you separate the weight from the hook, then you have two separate pieces creating feedback to your rod.

I use them for toads, creatures, craws, and swimbaits. +1 and I also use them on flukes. I use offset hooks on all baits that I throw with a slip sinker.
