I have been thinking about getting one of these, and I have never seen one in action. Most pics I see are pretty shallow. I normally target fish in 25' to 50' of water. Anybody here use them at those depths, or have any comments as to its usefulness at those depths?

I ran one last year on my 2015 FX 20 and loved it. It was the first time for me to use one but since we were fishing deeper rocky lakes in the Central Opens last year I felt like it would be a very useful tool. It was pretty neat to see individual structure(wood and rock piles) that may be off to the opposite side you are fishing, take a look at how far away using the distance rings on the screen and making casts to structure that a lot of people may have been overlooking. I didnt run one on this years boat, but going back to Table Rock next year in the Opens, I will def be running one on my 2017 boat.

A fish attractor in about 30' with two settings. One is with the water column and the other has the water column turned off--same subject.

SI view of same:
