Is it worth it? And what has your experience been with the 360 product?
Seems like a steep price, but I like the "idea" of being able to see what is within casting distance and the fact that the screen refreshes frequently so you can track boat positioning and fish movements better.

What if anything would be a cheaper alternative?

On my third year using the bow 360. Started with a Humminbird 1198, then ONIX 10 SI NT, and now with a Helix 12 CHIRP SI GPS.

Was watching and catching schooling bass today with it. Not many though they were not taking my presentations very well..
Last week I watched a school and caught 26 of them. When they stopped hitting, I left for a few hours, came back and caught 10 more of them.

The price is $500 less than it was when it first came out.

You can see your waypoints on the 360 view also.

Helix 12 CHIRP MEGA SI+ GPS G3N and G4N, 1198c SI, SOLIX 10 SI G3,
Helix 8 MEGA SI+ GPS G4N, SOLIX 12 SI and G3, MEGA 360, MEGA LIVE TL, RC-1

I ran one last year on my 2015 FX 20 and loved it. It was the first time for me to use one but since we were fishing deeper rocky lakes in the Central Opens last year I felt like it would be a very useful tool. It was pretty neat to see individual structure(wood and rock piles) that may be off to the opposite side you are fishing, take a look at how far away using the distance rings on the screen and making casts to structure that a lot of people may have been overlooking. I didnt run one on this years boat, but going back to Table Rock next year in the Opens, I will def be running one on my 2017 boat.

Check out Bass Boat Central, Doug V has a few cheat sheets for settings, also a lot of image interpretations etc.
