The bite has really been good all week. Lake is 4.8' high. Lake was full of bass boats Saturday with API tourney going on. I had Monica and Brian, with little Mr Brice, from Cypress, out on Somerville for the morning. Rain and thunder started about 11 am so we headed in. Stayed long enough for Brice to get a taste of fishing in the rain. Brice wore out his reeling arm and had to break for a short nap, then awake for rain and to reel in the last fish. We fished in only one spot for today. Ended the morning with 45 nice cats to 4#. Fun time on water, sharing in Brice's first boat fishing trip. Fish caught using corks, in 6' water, on CJ's crawdad punch bait.
