Thanks for all the comments. Like I said I was looking for everyone's take on it and what they thought. A lot of good answers here and made me change my thinking a little. I just wanted Feider to get the win since he's our home town boy. I would have loved to see J.Lee get his first win as well.

Right on brutha, couldn't have said it better. And Swindle is a class act to help, no need to bash him for it.

I don't think anyone on here bashed him for it. Like I said previously I thought it was a classy move.

Swindle is a classy guy. You're def biased.

If Feider was struggling the last day and Swindle gave him 411 that helped him win would you have taken issue with it then?

Very friendly move for Swindle, but you know Seth wished it never happened. I would be very frustrated if I was Seth, but I'm sure Swindle would have helped him too if he had zero in the box.

Either way I think it had impact on who took home $100k, and I find myself wanting the results to be based on their individual efforts without help.

I think it was super classy. He even paid DeFoe a comment at the end "he's a good one dude. He'd do the same for me".....pure class. It's not like he was looking for Defoe. He was headed out and noticed Defoe was "punting" LOL. Good on Gman to help him. I hope he wins AOY.

For the record I don't see this any different than last year on the FLW with Shin Fukai gave up his boat for Clark Wedlant...it's called helping a brother out!!

I have no problem with competitors sharing on the water info. That's allowed. Non competitor info isn't. JMO.

I didn't say Swindle wasn't a classy guy. I love Swindle.

But it did give the advantage to Defoe which in my book isn't fair to Feider. Again that's just me being biased again.

Didn't Ott still have to go over there and actually catch them? Or did Swindle drop them in his livewell?

He told him exactly where to go and what to use. To me that's not winning the tournament on your own. Just my opinion.

But I'm sure this happens in a lot of tourneys they have. Helping friends out when they are struggling. It was a classy move on Swindles part just a little unfair to Feider. Like I stated numerous times before...I am biased on this topic haha.

You've got to remember that Ott only caught 2 fish where Swindle told him to go. He came back and caught three more on his own stuff, including a three pounder that sealed the deal. Swindle said he knew there wasn't enough weight there for Ott to win. G felt if Ott could catch a fish or two he'd settle back down...and he did.

I do agree with that. So from what I hear the 2 fish he caught from the spot Swindle gave him were culled out anyway. So Swindle just pretty much gave him a boost of confidence. A friendly gesture just like most of you said. I wasn't trying to cause a stir I was just merely asking for every ones opinion on the matter.
