Weren't able to put my TFF guest on some good morning action last week. Reinvited him today to fish the pre front and it was on like donkey kong. Them fish were hungry. Hybrids mixed in with white bass school busting shads on the surface all around our boats. We limited out three person limit by 8:00am. Pretty much hybrids on every cast. Doubles too. Mission accomplished.

The calm before the passing of the front. Fish are very active.
It didn't matter what you throw at them. Slabs with teasers results in a double hookups. Spoons,swim baits,trolled it throwed it. It did not matter. My guest even caught a 22" hybrid on a fly rod. It was amazing seeing him fight and land that big hybrid on a fly. His passions for fly fishing really showed today.





We had the entire schooling to our self. Only two boats. Going back out later for the evening bites but skeptical if this front that just came thru gonna shut down the bites. We shall see.

It was an awesome trip Bruce. Thanks to you and Brandon for inviting me along again. I've learned a tremendous amount from you in the last couple of weeks. It's been fantastic hearing fishing stories from you and Brandon as well. I look forward to many years of fishing together.

Trolling with umbrella rigs trying to catch whites but them hybrids will not leave the rigs alone

. This 22" fella thought he was hitting on a school of shads. What he got was mouth full of hooks.

OK dang it they will not take a slab but would hit an umbrella rigs trolled like crazy. Three and two fish hooked at the same time steady.

These fish are a menace. Broke off one arms off my umbrella rigs. I'm limping with three arms now. Yep umbrella rigs is the only way to get them to bite consistently.

The whites and hybrids bit well into sun set. The front had no negative effect on the bites yet. Just a matter of finding the right bait and the right method of presenting the bait. Here's my son fighting another 22" hybrids. We caught and release three more limits of hybrids searching for that monster hybrid. Didn't find him. Biggest was 24" smallest is 18.5 That conclude today father son and friend Adventures. Tight lines!!

Guys Sunday the weather is cool but fishing is Hot!! Me and my boy just had to go out and wack them one more time before we go home. Limits is quick when you are trolling tendum rigged. Done 8am. Making a B line for home. On call
If you guy's having a hard time catching whites and hybrids right now. Try trolling umbrella rigs thru the school. It works big time. Two weeks in a row I couldn't get them whites to bite a slab. Finally thought to my self an umbrella rig with flashing blades would sure to drive them crazy and trigger bites. Sure enough I tried it yesterday and it works. I found many huge school of whites but they will not take a slab yesterday but readily take an umbrella rig with flasing blades. I also tried the umbrella rig with no flashing blade and they would not touch it. I could of filled the cooler if I wanted to but I had too much fun with them hybrids. Much of my day is focus on catching hybrids. I'm still looking for a Somerville record hybrid. I think it exist.

We were out there Saturday launching with all the bass boats fishing the tourney. If you don't mind me asking which part of the lake did you find topwater action -- we went from the dam to the front of Snake and Deer island and never saw a ripple in the water. Caught every species of fish in the lake except a hybrid :-)

We sat a 1/4 mile from snake island and watched it disappear in the squall.......we only go sprinkled on, I don't even think the dam got rain. Wild weather for 30 minutes

We found them schooling on a Big flat in 15fow in the middle of the lake not too far from Rocky Creek Park. I only see them surface once the whole day. I look at many other areas with structures also found them to be hanging around them structures(HUMPS) and pull up some quick limits. Big humps,little humps,medium humps,above most drop off just before it dropped from 15fow to deeper. They were all there along with schools of whites. My sonar was all lit up with fish and bait the entire day yesterday. Fish were stacked up and very active. Getting them to bite is some time tricky.

You hid you were on Somerville claiming its was Buchanon until you got called out on it. For the sake of "saving the fishery" from everyone. Now you post practically GPS COORDNATES. Wonderful job...

Geez hogg wild. You said that there were three hybrids spot that EVERY ONE new about it. This poor fellow didn't seems to know. Now every one know. and in case you don't know it's not the location that catches fish alone. It's the right bait,right time,right presentation,and persistents.

As for lying. YES EVERYONE I'm a lair. Find me one fisherman that don't lie beside you and Dennis Christian.
