if I was going to get skunked. Left the tractor parked this morning and sneaked out to Lake Murvaul for some R&R. Fished for over an hour before catching a fish and it was a dink. Finally about 10am I started picking up some keepers off brush piles. The only bite I could get was once again on a Garland shad but this time in Monkey Milk with a 1/16 PINK jig head. BP's were in about 15 fow and the bite was at 10 to 12 ft. It was another dead stick day. Water clarity was about 1 ft. which for Murvaul is excellent. Finished about 1 pm with 13 good keepers. Ran into a couple crappie fishermen at the ramp that had zero luck so I sent them home with 13 crappie and we all left happy. As usual I made a beeline to the local caf� for a cheeseburger and coconut pie.

Now for the important stuff...was that coconut pie ice box cold?

Is the marina where you eat the pie?? I've been saying I'm going over there for a while now! More interested in where to get the pie!! I will find the fish!!!

No, the marina has closed down. Fuglers Caf� is just about 1/4 mile from where you turn onto Hiway 1234 that goes to the boat ramps.

They are evidently starting to move back under boat docks. A friend shot some docks last Sunday in water as shallow as 6 feet and caught a mess of keepers.
