Hi All,

The wife and I's boat is stored in "dry storage" near the marina we launch at. The storage doesn't provide electrical hookups to charge batteries, trolling motors, etc. Taking the boat home to charge the trolling motor batteries isn't really an option for a couple of reasons. What type of "cordless" 12V charger would you recommend for this? We have a Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 motor that runs on two batteries. Thanks in advance and my apologies if this has been posted before.

You need a solar kit like this one on eBay.

I have not bought from this vendor but his kit is what you need. I could not find a kit on Harbor Freight, but they have the parts to build one yourself. You need the panel and the voltage regulator. A 100 watt panel will keep both batteries charged.

You can do what I do for my feeder battery.

I get all my solar stuff from kencove.com. They have good mounts, which is rare. It takes three pieces, panel, mount, controller. The panel's are tough.

I use this from Amazon. Once the charge is depleted you simply have to take the small unit to get it recharged and plug it back in

Boat manufacturers need to add quality solar panels as an option.
