Seems like a cluster $@#% waiting to happen as a lot of cats I catch like to do the twist.....how many rods do you run?

Wire is rough on the fish...you could do almost the same thing out of 60-80lb mono

That's probably true but I keep every legal fish I catch so I kill most of them anyway however I'm going to have to be more careful now there's the new regulations on tawakoni seeing as I think catfish between 20 inches and 30 inches make the best fillets

I usually use 1 rod at a time and do fine and I've even caught 2at the same time on 1 pole I fish mainly for eaters and I mainly use Danny kings punch bait the reason I like these Leaders is I get snagged la lot less because I can put my weight on the bottom and drag a weight instead of a hook

I have used those steel leaders like that for gar and crappie. Never tried it for catfish. Rod and reel I rather have just one hook for cats myself. But, hooking 2 at once would be a nice fight.

Are there swivels between those beads or not? I can't tell.

Thanks!

Great for catching eaters. Just watch the snap swivels that hold your hooks. Even after a few small cats, when they twist and put tension on them, the clasp will often come undone. Then you have a lost hook and lost fish. I personally prefer to tie my own leaders with mono or flouro.

Just watch the snap swivels then. They will bend, break or just come undone at times due to the twisting of the catfish.

I use these leaders all the time and Never lose a fish due to the snap swivel coming undone but I not saying it can't happen I'm just saying it's probably a rare thing if it does
