Why who does that? Lake is full of dangerous submerged timber and TPWD won't even put marked boat lanes on the lake. Sounds like some mess. Don't know why they do this.

How do you propose they go about creating these boat lanes?

I was idling thru what I thought was clear water area just west of the RR bridge yesterday morning only to feel the boat slightly lift and yaw as I fumbled for neutral! No damage, but as you said, there are pucker marks in the drivers seat of my boat now smile

I doubt you would have even launched your boat in RR 30 years ago when it first opened. It is a lot easier now with most of the timber gone and GPS available for route planning. It sure beats , big trees, water towers and a in dash flasher. cheers peep

I think it was easier back then.... you could still see the road beds and pastures.

The timber isn't gone, it's just rotted off a few inches or feet underwater
