Has anyone changed out the fuel line on a similar boat? I am away from my boat and need to order fuel line and I would like to know how much to order. I already have the information on the 2 types of fuel line required, just need length. Thanks.

I have the same exact boat and changed the fuel, fill and vent lines a few years ago. Unless you have the cap off of the boat, I would recommend you leave the fill and tank vent line alone as it was very difficult to get to the fittings under the cap. With regards to the fuel line itself, I ran mine down the port gunwale, across the bilge area under the front lip of the hatch opening and then to the stern and through the controls conduit. I used about 20' of hose.

Let me know if you want some pictures.

Ron

Thanks a lot Ron. I think I will just wait until I get home to look at mine. I was hoping to use the old line to fish in the new one. Not sure which direction it runs. My fill and vent lines are good. I appreciate your response and will let you know if I have any questions.

I replaced my line on a 98' Tr20. Left vent & fill hose alone. I have 1-56 Gallon tank. Pulled seat out & plate behind seat. Easy access to mine. I taped new line to old line & pulled from back. Came right out easily. Also installed a spin on fuel/water separator filter. Then new line to motor. Good luck. My old line was deteriorating. Glad I did it.i bought 20' just to make sure & had some left over. Don't remember how much left over & ive moved since then so I'm sure it got lost in the move, but 20' will cover including adding the separator, which I highly recomend.

Thanks Curtbass. I was hoping I could pull in the new line with the old line. I will get it done next week. I appreciate the response.

Kelly - if you flip up the middle back rest, you will see a black, metal Triton sign that is screwed into the aluminum plate that covers the fuel tank area. Take this little plate off and you will be able to see the fuel lines and where they attach to the tank. You can try to take the main line off from there, tape it or attach it some other say to your new line and maybe you will be able to pull it through to the trolling motor battery side of the bilge with someone feeding the new hose and someone slowly pulling on the one old. I might have some pictures somewhere if you need some help.

If that does not work, you will need to remove the seats and tank cover. It is held on with screws along the top back and sides. Not hard at all, just bulky.
