Haven't been out to RR in a few weeks and haven't seen any posts. Are the sandies still schooling and where. Thanks for your help.

The sandbass were feeding on the surface today (Monday) just north of the IdB state park. They started around 9:00am and were going at it for the better part of an hour. Mostly smaller fish but there were some keepers mixed in.
I was in the same area on Sunday but didn't see any topwater activity.

There was some surfacing on the west side Sunday off and on. The only indication was the wanna be gulls(looks like a large Kildee) But lots of bait under the birds. We had no wind so they were easy to find. We were fishing for blue cat and I like to fish under bait and birds when possible. Didn't fish the east side Sunday. Have also seen big schools coming up near the island north of the west end of the dam. They're not staying up long but the schools are large.
