I Have an 89' Evinrude 100.. The VRO has been disabled and I now run mix gas.. Problem is, I don't idle very well at all, to the point without using the warm up lever it would die.. It runs pretty good in gear, when I am at full throttle though, sometimes it seems to cut out, then pick back up, and then sometimes it won't even reach the same rpm range initially, then all of the sudden, it jumps up in speed..
Any clues, or suggestions, as to why this is happening?
I really appreciate it, there is an amazing amount of info on this forum!!

When you say vro is disabled do you mean the oil injection side or do you mean both sides and ran with an electric pump? If it still has a vro for the fuel side it could be going out. Carbs may have some trash in them.

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything. Remember what He has done and remember that He is not done yet!-- GOD IS GOOD
