As the sun was coming up over Tawakoni, I remembered the old Bill Dance show and the theme song popped into my head.
As the sun came up this morning
I took the time to watch it rise
I thought how small and unimportant
all my troubles seem to be, and
that another day belongs to me
Today is mine!
I never really as a kid give much thought to the profound meaning of the song! So I was quite humbled just running it through my mind and watching the sun come up. Got on the lake with Steve Goncalves and had an awesome day! We headed to Tallman and I stuck the first crappie of the day fairly quick.
Well, it got pretty darned challenging after that fish. We marked good fish in a couple of places, but just could not get the thump! Much later in the day as the sun got high in the sky and the heat ramped up, they cooperated a little better. Found em stacked tight to the timber.
As many as we knew were down there, we thought we could fill the boat. It was still a tough bite! We had to literally shake the jig in their face to get bit. We wound up with 21 good keepers and had a great day on the lake!
Thanks for the invite Steve!

What's really cool about your graph picture is the 8-9 fish feeding in the school of shad towards the top of the tree.

Definitely, I had a blast! I forgot to mention the about 60lb. blue cat floating on the West side near the bridge! A pure shame and loss!
