I've got a 97 ZX202C w/a 97 Vmax200. Tried a 25p Tempest and got up to 6700 @ 64 mph and it was still climbing (RPM's and MPH). Currently have a 24p Fury (been worked by Steve's prop shop) and have had it upto 6200 @ 67 mph and still had a little throttle left. I had to let out of it because it started to walk in front and back.

I was told a 25p prop is what I need as well as 5800-5900 RPM's @ WOT. As for the walking...Its prob. A jack plate thing. What should I be running @ WOT and prop should I be running...?

The walking you're feeling is chine walk and perfectly natural for a pad hull. The boat is falling off the pad, side to side. Time behind the wheel will give you the experience to prevent it

I would have that tachometer checked for accuracy.

Load it down like you're going fishing and see what it does, I'm guessing it'll be right on target.

Gamblinman..Thanks for the info. I was wondering if the tach was reading accurate or not. I'll definitely check on that..
Thanks Pat.. I did only have a little under 3/16 of gas in both tanks w/no tackle..I'll load it down a little on the next outing...
