I have a HB 1199 mounted in the console. I would like to add a deth finder to th bow. I would like to link it to my 1199. Will the new HB work. I like to use the lake map function. Will I need a new lake master card or will it link with 1199.

I'm using an 1199 at the console, a 999 at the bow, a Minnkota Riptide with a TM mounted transducer and I-link, with everything connected via ethernet. Either unit will display data from either transducer and will exchange all information except the lake chip info. To use all of the features of the units and the chip you'll need to use the Lakemaster chip for your area.

Any of the Helix 9 series, Helix 10 series, and Helix 12 series will share data with your 1199ci HD SI Combo via Ethernet.

The Helix 12 CHIRP SI GPS is the replacement for the discontinued 1199ci HD SI Combo. Same MSRP with a 2" larger display that is much brighter and has CHIRP 2D sonar. Uses the same transducer as the 1199.

You can also cross-share sonar technologies such as using a Helix Sonar GPS unit to display Side Imaging and Down Imaging from your 1199. Same with a Helix DI GPS model.

Both units would need a AS EC QDE Ethernet adapter to connect the Ethernet cable to them.

You would not be able to share map data, each unit would need its own map card. Humminbird units read Navionics and Lakemaster digital mapping.

Can the MInnKota TM be set to follow the contour with the Navionics chiip or is that only a Lakemaster capability?

I am.not Wayne obviously but it only works with Lakemaster

Plus Auto Chart maps which function the same as Lakemaster mapping.
