I started this Longear Sunfish last week. Finally caught up enough to do some of my own fish. I know there are a lot of variations to them, but I chose this coloration for this spawning male! Got another day or two before he is mounted on wood. May add some other gills to him. I have a coppernose and blue gill to complete.

The head will be fully completed on the wall side so I may him facing out! Thanks to the Waco Kid for the great trip on Athens Lake!!!!

Great job! That's what you look for in a fish mount-realistic colors, healthy looking body, all around quality mount.
