we fished both and there were many more caught in ken's tournament than the "Wish to Fish Benefit". But both had about the same entries which was around 35. I think last year one was 33. So that might be all the interest that can be generated for sand bass.

The 35 entries at the Wish to Fish caught 14 sand bass. And unless Frank confirmed they were actually sand bass I'd say they were more likely small black bass which has been the case for the last 2 years.

As much as the sand bass are hated they seem to pop up now and then but not nearly as often as before. I did get a report last week that a huge school of baby sand bass were roaming down by the dam.

There aren't enough little George's sold at Gibson's to make a dent in the sand bass population

they hold it every year. The Wish to Fish Foundation helps out kids that have cancer to get to go fishing. So OK that thing may not be an important tournament to you but it sure is to the kids that have little hope but do get to get their wish of going fishing.

Bruce, I did not catch any to confirm, I was driving by, so I would defer to your explanation as you are on Fork far more than I am.
