Went out this weekend and had a great day. Saw tons of 6"-10" bass cruising the surface and terrorizing the shad. Each group had 20-30 bass and literally saw several hundred groups of bass this size. In 2-3 years, if the water level holds it should be producing "decent" fish consistently.

Best 5 went 18.87, biggest went 4.92 all weighed on my handheld scales (picture below). Lost one at the boat that I figured was between 7-8 lbs, would have been the biggest I had caught out of Spence.

I would not expect this to be the norm, usually my best 5 is around 12 lbs, but I did locate a few more good spots and the weather worked better on Sunday.

Oak Creek has been pretty tough, unless you are fishing for Sandies. Been quite a bit of traffic there as well.

I launch at wildcat off the bank with no problems at all. They have a spot marked off to use about 100 yards down the bank from the concrete ramp. You can also get in at paint creek but it's got a lot of brush around the ramp. The dam ramp is usuable, but you have to back out quite always and there is usually some sketchy folks swimming that won't move when you come to load up.

Best bet is wildcat. I will be using it in the morning myself.

Yeah spence fished like you said it would. Lots of 3 and 4 lb fish. Good fishery.
