Looking to upgrade from my pescidor. Every higher end brand has one they boast as "very" or "the most" stable platform on the market. If you had to choose 1 based solely on stability, and I mean not tipping the &$%! over what would you choose? I'm a big guy 235#. I fish rivers and lakes equally. Thanks for your opinion

Try a feel free for the price in 6'5 320 and it's pretty stable for me!! I'm in a 11.5!! Head out to lake grapevine for the demo day by mariner sails and try one out!! You'll like it a lot!

I don't think I've ever paddled a feel free. I was looking at the Diablo and the Nucanoe. But I haven't been in either of those either, just web research. I should have signed this "tippy tired".

Do you want to stand up in the kayak?

I've got a Jackson bigrig that's really stable. I'm 350 and the only way I can flip it is to step on the edge. While sitting in the high position, if I lean over far enough to fall off the kayak itself is still relatively flat (edge is still above water), and when I go over, it stays upright. I think the newest models are even a couple inches wider yet.

Yes I would standing some if possible. All the Diablo reviews vids say it is damn stable. And the Hobies are just awesome I know. They might be a little out of my price range though. HERROUTDOORS which model Diablo did you get?

The only W.S. I've tried is the ride 115. Not the most stable platform - really not much better than my cheap Academy Pescidor in that regard. I'm looking for a superior anti-tip hull.

Craigfish, I have the Adios. I.left the ride 135 for it. I could barely stand in the ride, the Diablo is no problem. There is a very nice used one decked out on DFW KAYAK section on Facebook for $1800 and has marine mat on it, very nice.

Get a Hobie pro-angler. You can break dance on that thing and not tip over.
