Wife and I are going middle sept. Looking to book trip. Never been this time of year. Which is better to fish then bay or off shore? Also I prefer to troll when off shore fishing if that helps narrow suggestions? Not sure how good that is this time of year. Always gone June July.

Check in with Capt. Andrew. If you decide on a bay trip, he is a good choice. He can maybe refer you for an off shore trip.

ive had LOTS of luck with Capt. Hector Lopez out of Parrot Eyes. Hes first class all the way and he'll put you on fish. last trip we started at 7:30 and limited out on trout by 9:15. Spent the rest of the morning chasing reds.

Hey Guys thanks! I have a few dates open this month. Let me know if your looking to fish down here. I'll be switching to duck hunts and Cast N Blast soon.

Yes there are a few party boats. They are based on the south end of the island south of the big causeway. In the off season I have run into problems booking off shore trips due to the lack of enough customers to make the trips profitable for the boat. There is some good offshore fishing down there if you can get out.

I usually go offshore with these guys.

Once you are done with charters, depending on the tides, you can certainly have luck at the jetties as well.

Are the jetties on the south end as well? I have seen some people fishing from the piers in Port Isabel before. I have only been to SPI once before and all we did was walk the beaches on the north end of SPI and do tourist things.

Thanks again for all your input.

Yes the jetties are at the very south end of the island inside a Cameron county Park. There is a daily or weekly park fee.
