I need to get a blue catfish fix and the few lakes up here near lubbock just can't cut it, or at least I can't figure em out. Figured that I would try lake fort phantom again, anyone have any general reports for how the fishing has been, or general depth?

Shad locations would be helpful to, probably just end up throwing off the ramp or catching some bluegills before I get there in a pond here in town.

I would focus on drifting mid depth flats if possible. Shad are plentiful in just about the whole lake right now.
When do you plan on going? I'll be there in the morning and can net some extra shad for you if you'll be there.

I'll probably drop by Tuesday or Wednesday night, I work nights so a night fishing trip is what I'll be focusing on probably. What side of the lake should I focus on? The north or south end?

I'd stick to the south end.
I'll report back after tomorrow and let you know what I find.

Well we fished from 8-lunch today. Had our best luck in 19-24' on the south end. Seemed like they were staying fairly close to the channel that runs down the east bank. It was pretty steady action the whole time and we ended up with 10 good eaters.
If you happen to like hyrbrids/sandbass, I'd bring a rod for them too. We were seeing huge schools of them around the same areas.

Awesome! I love some Sandies and hybrids, I was already planning on taking a rod to troll with and you just solidified me taking one to slab with!

Thanks for the report hopefully there will be some fish out there next week too
